For the first time in 4 years I’m hosting an IN-PERSON mini retreat in Sacramento at @her_elevated.

I’ve been itching to be in the presence of other women and support them in all the ways related to their health and wellness.

The Align to Achieve mini retreat is a 4-hour event designed to guide and support women in their goal-setting, planning and implementation.

Because if I’ve learned anything over the years, especially after kiddo #2, it’s that busy women are easily burnt out in all areas of life because we haven’t considered just how much of LIFE comes up and gets in the way of progress.

The system I created to help individual clients set attainable goals and account for all the ups and downs of life will now be available to anyone who attends the Align to Achieve event.

These goals can be anything from losing a few lbs, making better food choices, showing up for yourself in nurturing ways, to finding your own systems for managing your health and well-being all year long.

Biofeedback is one of my favorite set of tools for getting to know your body.

Being “in-tune” with your needs can feel overwhelming.

You might not know where to start or what to pay attention to.

When I first start with a new client, we decide together which areas of biofeedback to start tuning into.

A few examples of areas we might choose are…

▫️appetite and hunger cues
▫️energy around workouts
▫️symptoms around her menstrual cycle

Once she starts tuning in and data is gathered, we can look for patterns and then hopefully better predict what her needs are, so she can make decision to support herself.

You’re doing this already everyday, but you’re likely doing it unconsciously.

Easy crunchy summer salad idea…

…that’s great to make ahead and even better as leftovers!

I joke and say we live on the sun (it’s on average 95-100+ degrees daily, with some 110+ days 🥵), so the last thing I want is to turn on the oven or stove, which also means eating warm veggies is a hard pass.

This salad is quick and easy and only gets better overtime.

Recipe:
▫️1 green cabbage, thinly sliced
▫️1 red onion, thinly sliced
▫️1 large carrot, grated
▫️1 bell pepper (any color), thinly sliced
▫️2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (I used Trader Joe’s garlic aioli mustard 😋)
▫️1-2 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
▫️2-3 tablespoons red wine vinegar (more or less to taste)
▫️Salt and pepper to taste

Mix it all together and voila!

You don’t need a Monday to start something new.

You don’t need a Monday to start something new.

You can start on any day you want or any day that works for you and your schedule.

So many people never start simply because they’re waiting for Monday to begin and then Monday rolls around and they find themselves tired from the weekend or overwhelmed with all the things that Mondays bring.

Mondays can be hard.

So why set yourself up for failure by thinking Monday is the best day to start?
